Boston, MA — Fort Point Capital (“Fort Point”), a private equity firm focused on investing in service-oriented middle market companies, announced today that its portfolio company, Church Services, a leading provider of non-discretionary residential services, has acquired Stark Air (“Stark”) and Lewisville Air Conditioning & Heating (“Lewisville”). Both companies provide HVAC maintenance, repair and replacement services to residential customers in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

The acquisitions allow Church Services to substantially expand its coverage of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, enabling it to provide unparalleled customer service and making it the clear leader in this residential HVAC market.

“Stark and Lewisville’s customer-centric cultures are a great match for Church Services, and will allow us to expand Church’s geographic footprint and add new customers,” stated Brooke Ablon, a Partner at Fort Point and the Chairman of the Board of Church Services. “The acquisitions are compelling and further solidify Church Services’ leadership position in the residential services market throughout Texas, while helping the company grow in accordance with our strategic plan. We are excited to move forward in support of the Church Services team.”

“Adding Stark Air and Lewisville is a big step forward for our company,” said Church Services CEO Chris Church. “Church Services is excited by the opportunity to further invest in the continued growth and success of Stark and Lewisville and we look forward to working closely with the Stark and Lewisville teams to enhance and expand the service offerings available to our customers.”

“We are very pleased to be joining the Church Services team,” said Sean Stark, VP of Operations for Stark Air. “Their resources, focus, financial backing, and commitment to excellent customer service will help us continue to grow our business and serve our customers more effectively.”

“Fort Point and Church Services are ideal partners for Lewisville,” said Ted Trantham, founder and former CEO of Lewisville. “Their resources and industry expertise allow us to build on our strong relationships with existing customers and deliver the resources to reach new ones.” Trantham will remain active in the business as an integral part of the Church Services team.
