Fort Point Capital Announces Investment Team Promotion and Chief Financial Officer Hiring

Fort Point Capital, a leading private equity firm focused on investing in lower middle-market services companies, has announced the promotion of Michael Brofft from Vice President to Principal and the hiring of Michael Schiavo as Chief Financial Officer.

Since joining the firm in 2020, Michael Brofft has been responsible for new investment opportunity origination, transaction execution and portfolio company oversight. Prior to Fort Point, Michael was an Associate at Siguler Guff, where he invested in lower middle market companies across the business services, industrial and consumer industries. He began his career at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, advising clients on M&A and financing transactions in the commercial finance, consumer finance and broker-dealer industries. Michael received a B.A. in economics from Williams College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

In addition, Fort Point Capital has also welcomed Michael Schiavo as the firm's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Mike most recently served as the CFO/CCO at Prospect Hill Growth Partners, where he was responsible for the financial reporting and operations of the firm. Prior to that, Mike held accounting positions at Thomas H Lee Partners and SV Health Investors. He began his career at KPMG in their audit practice. Mike holds a BS and MS in accounting from Bentley University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
