Questions & answers

What motivated you to choose Fort Point?

Every conversation I’ve had with the team at Fort Point has consistently highlighted the strength of the firm’s culture and its family-like atmosphere. From day one, I’ve felt comfortable, heard, and encouraged to share ideas—an experience that speaks volumes about the team’s authenticity and collaborative spirit. This kind of environment not only supports my personal and professional growth, but also reflects the kind of thoughtful, long-term partnership Fort Point brings to its portfolio companies.

How did you become interested in private equity? What drew you to it?

Through my experience in investment banking, I had the opportunity to work closely with private equity firms on a regular basis. While that role offered valuable exposure to deals and financial strategy, our involvement with management teams was often limited. What drew me to private equity was the ability to go deeper—to build lasting partnerships with management teams and play a more hands-on role in shaping a company’s long-term trajectory. The chance to drive meaningful change and contribute to a business’s growth at a strategic level is what truly excites me about this career path.

What is the most important part of your job?

My primary responsibility will be to dive deep into the data and information surrounding the companies we consider as potential partners. By doing so, I can contribute meaningful insights to support the team’s efforts in forming a well-informed view on the viability of each investment opportunity.

If you weren't in private equity, what would you be doing?

I would be running my own dance studio. I grew up as a competitive dancer, and my dream was always to teach and mentor young dancers in the competition world. Teaching dance blends creativity, discipline, and leadership—elements I’ve always been drawn to.

When you're not at the office, what are you usually doing?

I love all things running. I love watching races, going on group runs with friends, or just solo run adventures. Boston is a great city to explore on the run with beautiful trails along the water that I am excited to continue taking advantage of here.
